I received an estimate, is this what I pay?
WEBER WRIGHT MOVING COMPANY has asked you just the right questions to not only give you the approximate cost of your move, but to also arrange a team of movers and the appropriate size truck. Your exact cost will be determined once the move is complete to include any additional supplies and travel time. We require a two-hour minimum and once that has been fulfilled, you will be charged in 15-minute increments. It is important for you to understand that if you ask our movers to stop or take a break, you will be charged the hourly rate. If you have any questions concerning your moving costs, please contact our office.
When do I pay?
For local residential moves, it is appropriate to pay when the move is complete. Our team of movers will be prepared to take your payment in the form of cash, check or credit card. Credit card payment is accepted in the form of Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. For commercial moves, deferred payment is available but arrangements must be made in advance through the office at WEBER WRIGHT MOVING COMPANY. Also, a moving service agreement will be provided to you and you will sign on the day of your move. Should you ask one of our team members to provide a service that is beyond our expectations or presents liability to themselves or our company, you will also be asked to sign a release of liability form.
What about tips for the movers and packers?
Tips are accepted but certainly not required. If you feel that the team has done an exceptional job and you would like to reward them personally, it is appropriate to do so. Of course, if for some reason the opposite occurs, it is also appropriate to contact our office and report this. We have high expectations for our team, we need to know each and every time that those are met!
What if one of your team members damages something?
Of course our movers will do everything possible to avoid damage to your goods and your property, however accidents do happen. If damage occurs, notify a mover as soon as possible and he/she will fill out a damage report. We will repair, replace, or compensate you for the damage, whichever appears to be the most appropriate. If you discover damage after the move has been completed, you must notify our office within 72 hours of your move. No compensation for damage will be approved until the charges for your move have been paid in full. If damage occurs and liability is unclear, we will only meet federal government requirements for insurance as a household goods carrier at the current rate of $.60 (sixty cents) per pound.
If we provide a team for the purpose of loading or unloading services, we are not responsible for any damages, which may occur in transporting the furniture and are released of all liability after loading the truck. In other words, we are only responsible for items in our immediate care, custody, and control. We cannot be responsible for prior damage, repairs, defects, or any other weaknesses in the furniture itself. Particleboard furniture is the worst offender of this, therefore, our insurance does not cover damages to particleboard.
I need to cancel my move, what do I do?
Call us! Please contact our office as soon as you know you need to cancel. If the cancellation is not made with a 24-hour notice or our team arrives and you cancel or cannot move at that time for any reason, you will be charged the minimum two-hour charge. Avoid charges by contacting our office as soon as possible to reschedule or cancel.
